In 2015, Arrietta portrayed his friend François-Marie Banier — his studio, his photographs, his paintings — with a Mekas-like freshness and cheerful detachment. Ten years on, a visit to a country house adds another piece to the fragmentary account of a life shaped by encounters and friendships.
